When virtuoso Irish playing jumps the pond running naked through the wide open fields of bluegrass/Americana JigJam is born.  Bluegrass and American Folk music originated from their homes and now JigJam are here to take it back!  Hailing from the heart of Ireland, this talented group combines traditional Irish and American bluegrass elements to create a unique sound that captivates audiences worldwide. The band, formed in 2013, consists of members Jamie McKeogh, Daithi Melia, Cathal Guinan, and Gavin Strappe.  JigJam’s music is characterized by infectious rhythms, exceptional musicianship, and rich vocal harmonies. Their skillful use of banjos, mandolins, fiddles, guitars, and double bass infuses a fresh and dynamic energy into traditional Irish tunes. Their genre-blurring approach has earned them a dedicated global following.  Their albums, like “Oh Boy!” and “Phoenix,” have received critical acclaim, showcasing their versatility and creative prowess. JigJam’s electrifying live performances blend traditional charm with modern flair, making them a must-see act for those looking to experience a lively and contemporary take on Celtic and bluegrass traditions.  JigJam made their Grand Ole Opry Debut in Nashville in March 2023 to critical acclaim receiving a standing ovation from a sold out crowd on Country Music’s biggest stage. They were joined on the night by Garth Brooks, Trisha Yearwood, Steve Earle, Lauren Alaina and many more. This Offaly and Tipperary born band have started The first wave of attack in the new Irish invasion of Americana.
