Formed in 2013 by former members of The Band, including Jim Weider and Randy Ciarlante, who played with The Band in the 1990s. The band’s name is a tribute to the iconic song “The Weight” by The Band. The Weight Band’s music is influenced by the roots rock and Americana genres, featuring a blend of original compositions and classic covers. The band has released several albums, including “World Gone Mad” and “Heavy Weight”, which have received critical acclaim for their authentic and timeless sound. The Weight Band continues to tour and perform, bringing their unique brand of music to audiences around the world.
