It might be 2023, but we are gonna party like it’s 1983 to support another year of great performances at the Thrasher, throwing down an epic shindig, the Party for the Arts: 80’s Rewind, on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at the Thrasher Opera House in downtown Green Lake, WI. It’s sure to be a totally tubular way to raise funds for the opera house with food, music, a cash bar, live & silent auctions, and more! We would love you to support the arts – 80’s style! Seating is limited, so get your tickets now!

Trust us…this party is too radical to miss! So come as you are, channel your inner Prince or Madonna, be Pretty in Pink, tease up your hair, throw on some neon day-glo (don’t forget the legwarmers, duh), or toss on your favorite Duran Duran tee. Whatever you wear, it’s all for a righteous cause.

Hold onto your scrunchies because this year’s live and silent auctions are packing some seriously bodacious prizes! Imagine you and your crew living the dream aboard the J. Lawson with room for 25. Or how about hitching a ride on the Green Lake Shuttle for an epic 4-hour private tour for 15? We’re talking mystery stops, people! And if you’re feeling like a VIP, imagine scoring an 8-person suite at the Sylvee to catch a totally rad Shakey Graves show. How about this for a mind-blowing experience? Picture yourself on a private paranormal investigation of the Thrasher Opera House. You and up to 6 of your bravest buddies will be right there, rubbing shoulders with the producers and cast of the spine-tingling series Haunted State. Like, Woah, DUDE.

Feeling lucky? Join the Cork Pull frenzy, and you might walk away with a legit diamond necklace from Diedrich Jewelers. And that’s just the tip of the Rubik’s Cube, folks! Local businesses have thrown some righteous donations – all up for grabs, just waiting to join your awesome collection.

Cocktails & Eats from local businesses begin at 6 p.m. Get ready for emcees Todd Weir & Dr. Jared Kohlenburg to dish out some wicked entertainment starting at 7 pm. And the vibes keep rollin’ with Suzy and the Detonators providing killer tunes throughout the night. The party won’t stop there…once we wrap up at Thrasher, follow the party down to Murphy’s On Green, where a portion of the proceeds will be donated back to the opera house!

The Party for the Arts is the ultimate way to support the Thrasher, a 501c3 nonprofit organization. All proceeds go toward supporting the Thrasher Opera House – including (but not limited to) the following wonderful things: Year-round concerts by talented musicians, beautiful art exhibits by local artists, inspiring Missoula Children’s Theatre weeks, keeping a piece of Green Lake history alive, making an economic impact in our community…and so much more!
