After two decades of honing his craft alongside his father, Dickey Betts, and co-founding the Allman Betts Band, Duane Betts finally realized his singular creative vision with his 2023 solo debut, Wild & Precious Life. Seeking to balance his deep American rock roots with a forward-looking perspective, Betts assembled a premier band to record the album live to analog tape at Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi’s Swamp Raga Studio. The resulting record is a guitar-driven yet song-focused exploration of his identity, capturing a seasoned artist stepping fully into his own light.
