But where to stop? When the clothes (and other people’s opinions) become more important than the people of the kingdom\, trouble brews. To help their beloved Emperor find the way back to his heart\, his true friends create an elaborate “birthday suit” for the Emperor to wear for his birthday parade celebration. The Emperor quickly and humbly learns that sometimes “less is more”!

SUMMARY:Anna Fermin's Trigger Gospel
DESCRIPTION:Season Sponsor \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Anna Fermin’s Trigger Gospel is an all-original Americana band based in Chicago\, Illinois.   Together nearly 20 years (with a break or two for families\, babies & other projects) they boast 5 previous critically-acclaimed and well-received releases.  They have toured throughout the U.S. and Europe many times\, sharing the stage with an impressive roster of musicians including Johnny Cash\, Steve Earle\, Joe Ely\, Robbie Fulks\, David Crosby\, Delbert McClinton\, Neko Case\, and many more.  The band’s road-tested history also includes innumerable stops at Cracker Barrel\,  a goat carcass in a cooler\,  the drummer (Paul) being left behind at a rest stop on the New Jersey Turnpike\, too many shots of tequila\, and an indecent proposal at a biker bar somewhere in Southern Illinois. Trigger Gospel’s 20-year history has seen a rotation of bandmates\, mostly in the lead guitar position.  But in recent years the Americana group has returned to its original line-up\, formed in 1997\, with Anna Fermin at the helm\, Paul Bivans on drums\, Michael Krayniak on bass\, and Andon Davis on lead guitar.  Alton Smith joined the group on keyboard and accordion a few years back\, and has also worked with Fermin over the years on various projects away from Trigger Gospel.   \n \n \n \n \n \n The only authorized source for online ticket sales is thrasheroperahouse.com – any other website\, secondary or tertiary ticket agency\, or ticket broker is not a verified ticketing agent. SUMMARY:Steely Dane
DESCRIPTION:Season Sponsor \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \nIn 2010\, co-founders David Adler and David Stoler (The Steely Daves) thought it’d be a great idea to put together a tribute “SHOW” for Steely Dan\, featuring the best musicians in the Madison\, WI music scene. Madison is located in Dane County\, WI\, thus the name. The first Steely Dane show featured over 30 of Madison’s best rock and jazz musicians\, and it sold out the High Noon Saloon. Not ones to waste a herculean effort of arranging a full night’s worth of the Dan’s best stuff\, the crew decided to do it again\, and again\,…..and oops\, now it’s no longer a show\, it’s a BAND. Since then\, the band has trimmed down to the current 14-piece family that features a four-piece horn section\, two female backup singers\, two guitars\, two keyboards\, vibes\, and percussion…all of the instruments necessary to recreate the amazing mixes of the Dan’s albums and live performances. The members of the band have won countless instrumentalist of the year awards\, and there’s even a couple GRAMMY nominations in the group. The band has won multiple awards for best tribute band\, they’ve sold out theaters from Chicago to Minneapolis\, and packed summer festivals scattered throughout as well. Their songbook features over 50 songs from both Steely Dan and Donald Fagen’s solo career\, allowing them to play different shows night after night\, even including complete album shows for The Royal Scam\, Aja\, and Gaucho. \nSTEELY DANE IS: \nDave Adler – Keyboards\, Vocals \nJoey B. SUMMARY:Charlie Parr
DESCRIPTION:Season Sponsor – Lake Street Consulting:  Bill & Erica Tourlas\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Minnesota-born guitarist and songwriter Charlie Parr is a folk troubadour in the truest sense. Over a career spanning two decades and 19 albums\, Parr has established himself as a humble master of the 21st-century folk tradition\, often performing up to 275 shows a year.  Raised in a working-class environment\, Parr’s sound is deeply rooted in the Smithsonian Folkways legends he discovered in his father’s record collection\, including Lead Belly\, Woody Guthrie\, and Dock Boggs. A self-taught musician who plays a resonator and 12-string guitar\, Parr adapted his intricate finger-picking style after a focal dystonia diagnosis\, drawing inspiration from greats like Rev. Gary Davis.  Parr’s songwriting is a “continuation” of the folk tradition\, blending Depression-era stories\, Lake Superior landscapes\, and raw mindfulness. After breakout success with Red House Records\, he joined Smithsonian Folkways for the critically acclaimed Last of the Better Days Ahead (2021) and Little Sun (2024). These works showcase his “bluesman poet” sensibilities\, weaving together themes of community\, nature\, and the passage of time. For Parr\, the creative well never runs dry as long as he remains a mindful listener to the world around him. \n \n \n \n \n \n The only authorized source for online ticket sales is thrasheroperahouse.com – any other website\, secondary or tertiary ticket agency\, or ticket broker is not a verified ticketing agent. Recorded with legendary organist Rev. Charles Hodges\, the album blends Memphis soul\, funk\, and gospel-tinged Americana to celebrate female empowerment and artistic independence. From the retro-soul groove of “Wild As a Rainstorm” to the anthemic title track—a defiant response to industry sexism—Collier showcases her versatility by handling everything from songwriting and horn arrangements to lead vocals and saxophone. A four-time Blues Music Award winner and Berklee graduate\, Collier cements her status as a vital force in the genre\, delivering a sonically rich “love letter” to the next generation that honors pioneers like Sister Rosetta Tharpe while charting her own uncompromising path. \n\n \n \n \n \n \n The only authorized source for online ticket sales is thrasheroperahouse.com – any other website\, secondary or tertiary ticket agency\, or ticket broker is not a verified ticketing agent.
