Eric Bibb - Thrasher and Grey Rock Concert & Dinner Package

Thrasher Opera House and Grey Rock Restaurant have teamed up to offer a Dinner & Concert combination that is an ideal way to spend a chilly February evening.  When Grammy-nominated blues performer Eric Bibb performs at Thrasher on Friday and Saturday, February 8 and 9, concert attendees will have the option of purchasing a package that includes concert tickets, and a gourmet three-course dinner at Grey Rock Restaurant at the Heidel House.

Eric Bibb, whose last performance at Thrasher was a sell out is known for his soulful blues. He has enjoyed great success in Europe as well as becoming a notable face in the United States blues scene. The New York native has traveled the world, including the USA and Canada, as well as Sweden, United Kingdom, Ireland and Germany.  Eric is the son of 60’s folk and musical theatre legend Leon Bibb. World famous jazz composer pianist John Lewis, was his uncle, and singer, actor, activist Paul Robeson, was his godfather.

Eric Bibb’s musical inspiration comes from such well known sources as Richie Havens, Earl Robinson, Joan Baez and Bob Dylan, to name a few. He performs a wide array of original as well as traditional numbers, and has released six albums, to date. Eric Bibb’s performance is a musically and spiritually enriching experience, often bringing audiences to their feet wanting more.

The Concert & Dinner package offered in conjunction with Eric Bibb’s appearance includes a three-course dinner at Grey Rock, beginning with either soup or salad, choice of any menu entrée, and dessert. The cost of the package, including two dinners and two concert tickets is $75 per couple, and can be purchased through Thrasher Opera House office by calling 920/294-4279. Reservations will be taken beginning at 5:00 p.m. and continue until 6:15 p.m. to assure arrival at the concert by its 7:30 start time.

Heidel House is generously donating $3 of their proceeds to the RAISE THE CURTAIN campaign, which is designed to fund the purchase of Thrasher, and to support future improvements of the facility.

This promotion is the first time such a combination package has been offered by Thrasher and an area restaurant. Expectations are that its success will spawn more such offerings in the future.  “If this package proves to be popular you can be sure that we will seek out other value relationships for our patrons”, said Roby Irvin, Executive Director of Thrasher. “Such experiences will only enhance their enjoyment of this wonderful and historic facility,” he added.

Tickets for the concert dinner package are available only through Thrasher Opera House office at 920-294-4279. There are a limited number of spaces each evening. Concert tickets alone for either Friday or Saturday’s performance are $16 and can be purchased at Thrasher office, Ripon Drug, Knowledge Emporium, or Green Lake State Bank.
