PINOCCHIO performed at Thrasher

The charming tale of PINOCCHIO, the wooden puppet who longed to become a real, live boy, comes to life this Saturday, January 21, at 3 p.m. & 7 p.m. when Missoula Children's Theatre (MCT) and more than 50 local students perform an original, musical adaptation of this classic tale. The local cast features characters such as Pinocchio, the Blue Fairy, Jiminy Cricket, the villainous Fox and the mischievous Cat. Also featured are a cast of Puppets, Pinocchio's tough friend, Candlewick, and Candlewick's Crew. To complete the ensemble, the youngest actors will appear as Urchins, the Pleasure Isle Kids, and the masterfully crafted Toys. Two student Assistant Directors will also lend behind the scenes support throughout the week.

All MCT shows are original adaptations of classic children’s stories and fairytales . . . a twist on the classic stories that you know and love. Creativity, social skills, goal achievement, communication skills and self-esteem are all characteristics that are attained through the participation in this unique, educational project. MCT's mission is the development of lifeskills in children through participation in the performing arts.

This production is part of The Missoula Children's Theatre's unique international touring project and is presented locally by Thrasher Opera House with special support by Wallenfangs of Green Lake, the Green Lake County Players, Green Lake State Bank and the Bay View Motel.

Tickets for this special performance are $12 Adults and $8 Children and can be purchased at the Thrasher office, Knowledge Emporium, Green Lake State Bank, Ripon Drug, Pick ‘N Save (Ripon); Twister (Princeton); or by calling 920-294-4279. Online tickets available at
