Australia's "the bluehouse" returns

Thrasher Opera House is happy to announce that the bluehouse will be making a return appearance at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 24, 2004. Since forming in Melbourne, Australia nine years ago, the bluehouse have forged a highly successful career and currently reign as one of Australia’s hottest musical acts. Their Green Lake concert is sponsored by Yeomans-Edinger Chiropractic, Chiroplus Complementary Health Care Centers, LLC, Allied Health Chiropractic Centers, Quandt Chiropractic, VandeCastle Chiropractic Clinics, and Rosendale Chiropractic Office, LLC.

Samantha Harley, Jacqueline Walter and Bernadette Carroll have received international recognition that normally only arrives after heavy record company investment and corporate marketing – but the bluehouse have achieved it through hard work, strength of will, and abundant talent. Their music has been described as delicious folk-pop . . . tinged at times with sweet gospel soul, before plunging into raucous guitar riffs.

As one of the top selling bands in Australia, the trio are known for their hilarious antics on stage nearly as much as for their music, the “frosting on the cake” of experiencing a live performance. "They fill venues right across Australia, get 5-star reviews in Edinburgh (Fringe Festival highest score), break attendance records in England and get ranked in the media alongside k.d.lang and the Indigo Girls.." David Curry, TIMEOUT

"This acoustic trio from Melbourne have been winning rave reviews....they write powerful radio-friendly tunes and twist them with a quirkiness which keeps them outside formula pop.." Lesley Sly, Rolling Stone Magazine

"…the bluehouse...have some of the best harmonies you'll find this side of heaven." Bruce Elder, Sydney Morning Herald

“A reviewer once suggested that if there are certain things that you should do before you die, seeing bluehouse live should be near the top of the list.  I disagree- when the opportunity presents itself, it should be at the top of that list, while you’ve still got a pulse,” Kim Fleischfresser, Rave Magazine.

The bluehouse will be performing at the Thrasher Opera House in Green Lake on Saturday, July 24 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $18 for adults, $15 for students and seniors, and can be purchased ON-LINE at or in person at the Thrasher Opera House ticket office, Knowledge Emporium, Green Lake State Bank, Bloch’s Farm, Ripon Drug, or Bull Moose Mercantile, or by calling 920-294-4279.
