Harmonious Wail SWINGS at Thrasher!

Harmonious Wail, a popular jazz-folk quartet from Madison, will perform their infectious style of swing & jazz on-stage at the historic Thrasher Opera House on Saturday, November 15 at 7:30 p.m.

Through the generous sponsorship of Mill Street Junction and Two Chez restaurant, this regional band gone international, will deliver their signature sizzlin’ style for an evening that is sure to keep your toes tapping.!  Make the evening even more memorable by first enjoying a delicious three-course dinner in the French bistro-style dining of Grey Rock restaurant overlooking

Celebrating its fifteenth year, Harmonious Wail has established itself as a forerunner of an enticing style of swing fusion.  The Wail’s popularity is growing throughout the States and Europe as they continue to deliver a blending of the melodious sounds of the great jazz vocalists with the energy of Django Reinhardt-inspired Gypsy swing and the contemporary adventurousness of new acoustic music.

Harmonious Wail, described as an acoustic, string quartet with tight vocal harmony, blends gypsy-swing, 40's era swing & jump, swing & jazz standards and originals.  Wail’s energy fuses the line between folk and jazz producing a sound that fans find hard to define. In Europe, they actually have a niche for the Wail's sound: they call it Eclectic European Jazz, Gypsy Swing or American Roots Music - a mixture of contemporary folk and swing. Whatever you call it, the musicianship of Harmonious Wail cannot be denied; their techniques are so polished as to be completely transparent. You can tell this group has been together some time, long enough to develop an effortless and seamless integration.

Harmonious Wail is gypsy swing with a bluegrass twist.  It's fun, exciting, high energy music with lilting vocals and hot mandolin licks. A concert not to be missed!  Tickets for the concert alone are $25 and are available at Green Lake State Bank, Knowledge Emporium, Bull Moose Mercantile, Ripon Drug and Thrasher office (located next door to Opera House) or by calling 920-294-4279 or 888-441-0140.  For on-line tickets, visit www.thrasheroperahouse.com.  For more information about the Dinner/Concert package with Heidel House restaurant, call 920-294-4279.
