Exceptional Fall Concert Series still available.

As another glorious summer, and the flurry of activities that accompany it comes to a close, it’s time to start planning ahead for the more relaxed and slower paced activities of fall.  As you pencil-in the football games and fall festivals on your calendar – don’t forget one of the most exciting and uniquely different forms of entertainment to come this season – the return of the Fall Concert Series at the Thrasher Opera House, in beautiful downtown Green Lake.

Thrasher has selected three outstanding concerts for the 2003 Series, each boasting a uniquely different and distinguished musical style, for the special package price of $70.

The Series will begin with a performance by Corky Siegel’s Chamber Blues at 7:30 pm on October 3.   For almost 4 decades, critics like; Rolling Stone, Stereophile, Down Beat, Billboard, Jazziz, New York Times and Washington Post, recognized Corky Siegel as a “phenomenal virtuoso on harmonica… a deft accomplished genius of the Blues.”   Today, Siegel’s classical/blues blend draws a new generation of concertgoers.  Although the sound is not exclusive to jazz, classical, blues, or world music, it does reveal a unique exploration of those genres, opening the minds and souls of those who listen.  A special Dinner Package, which is not included in the Series price, has been arranged with Norton’s restaurant.  Please call the office for more information.

Harmonious Wail will be bringing their gypsy swing style to the stage at Thrasher on November 15 at 7:30 pm.  This acoustic string quartet with tight vocal harmonies fuses gypsy swing, 40’s era swing & jump, swing & jazz standards and originals, inspired by such artists as the great gypsy guitarist Django Reinhardt.  A special Dinner Package has also been arranged for this concert with Two Chez restaurant – and again, not reflected in the Series price.  Please call the office for more information.

And for the Christmas holidays, we are happy to announce the return of George Winston to Green Lake.  Winston will perform on December 20 at 7:30 pm, and as typical with all of his concerts, the audience is asked to please support their local Food Pantry by bringing a donation of a non-perishable food item or monetary donation along with them.

The Fall Concert Series sponsored by the Heidel House, Green Lake State Bank, Norton’s, Two Chez and Mill Street Junction can still be purchased at the Thrasher Opera House office (next to the Opera House) for the discounted price of $70.   Individual tickets for Corky Siegel will be available after September1, with individual tickets for Harmonious Wail and George Winston after September 16, for $25 each.  ON-LINE ticket sales are also now available at www.thrasheroperahouse.com, or you can call the office at 920-294-4279 or 888-441-0140.
