Willy Porter Band brings splashes of bluegrass, blues, folk & funk this Valentine's Day
For the tenth year in a row, Willy Porter returns to the historic Thrasher Opera House in downtown Green Lake - this year, with his full band! Porter's much-anticipated concert on Valentine's Day, Saturday, February 14 at 7:30 p.m., will undoubtedly be another sellout, just as it has been since his first visit in 2006. With that said, if you are hoping to attend, and have not already done so, we highly recommend that you purchase your tickets soon.
A guitarist whose songs are heavily rooted in folk music, Porter colors his tunes with splashes of bluegrass, blues, and funk. His shows are energetic and loose, with lots of improvisational moments, but most of all...they're fun! For this concert, the band will perform a collection of new songs from Willy's latest cd, Human Kindness (2015), as well as plenty of classics for an always eager crowd of die-hard "supPorters".
Tickets for this special concert are $20 and available at the Thrasher office, Horicon Bank (Green Lake); Pick Ní Save, Ripon Drug (Ripon); Twister (Princeton) or by calling (920) 294-4279. Online tickets available at www.thrasheroperahouse.com.
