Robin Hood and his Merry Band of characters at Thrasher this Saturday
Audiences, young and old alike, are invited to join in the fun with Robin Hood, Maid Marion, Marionís Maid, the Sheriff of Nottingham and a host of others in a musical wonderland this Saturday, January 24 at 3 p.m. & 7 p.m. at the historic Thrasher Opera House in Green Lake. Join Missoula Childrenís Theatre and more than 50 local students as they bring to life this spirited tale; an original musical adaptation of ROBIN HOOD.
The time is simply long ago and the place is the magical, mythical Sherwood Forest. Our hero, Robin Hood, and his Merry Band of colorful characters seek the help of the Foresters, manage to waylay the Aristocrats and set out to rescue Maid Marion and Marionís Maid. Prince John tries to stay calm as his Sheriff, guards and horsemen botch Robinís arrest thanks to the aromatic Skunks. Join us for a performance filled with wacky humor and an original score - all of which give a fresh new look at a legendary outlaw in a legendary time!
This wonderful opportunity for all local children could not be made possible without the help of some very special supporters who understand the importance of the arts in our childrenís lives. This yearís MCT program is supported in part by grants from the Herman Schultz Fund of the Green Lake County/Ripon Community Foundation and from the Wisconsin Arts Board with funds from the State of Wisconsin. Generously sponsored by the Horicon Bank of Green Lake and the 1st National Bank of Green Lake. ?xml:namespace>
