Get into the holiday spirit at Switchback's Midwestern Christmas concert
Get into the holiday spirit on Saturday, December 21 at 7:30 p.m., when Brian FitzGerald and Marty McCormack of the duo Switchback bring their unique brand of Americana and Celtic music to the stages of the historic Thrasher Opera House in beautiful downtown Green Lake for an exciting Midwestern Christmas concert and old-fashioned sing-along. For this special holiday show, Switchback will perform Christmas songs interspersed with lively reels, jigs and originals. From "Oh, Holy Night”, "Jingle Bells” and "Ava Maria" from their holiday cd "A Very Switchback Christmas", to original tunes and Irish melodies....it'll be a true down-home evening of favorites!
Brian FitzGerald is one of the most acclaimed mandolin and guitar players in the Midwest today and Marty McCormack contributes solid bass guitar lines and vibrant vocals to the mix. Since they formed in 1993, they have released nine cds and three dvds that include rock and blues classics, traditional Irish stylings, foot-stomping country and their own unique style of rock. The duo hits the heart of what unites Midwesterners through their Celtic soul and American roots.
This program is supported in part by a grant from the Wisconsin Arts Board with funds from the State of Wisconsin and the National Endowment for the Arts. Accommodations provided by The Heidel House Resort & Spa.
