The Alley Cats' "Jingle Bell Rock, A Harmoniously Hysterical Holiday Hit" coming to Thrasher
Back by popular demand, The Alley Cats’ return to the historic Thrasher Opera House on Saturday, December 10 at 7:30 p.m. for their ever-popular holiday show titled "Jingle Bell Rock, A Harmoniously Hysterical Holiday Hit." Join us for the Cats' crisp harmonies, sidesplitting humor and incredible a cappella energy that have made the foursome a much-anticipated tradition at Thrasher.
The Alley Cats have entertained audiences from schoolhouses to the White House and everything in between with their yummy deep-bass harmonies, lots of trademark humor, and great arrangements by the group. They began their musical journey as a featured act in Disneyland's "Blast to the Past", a salute to the 1950’s, and subsequently featured during the world premiere of Disney's animated film, Hercules. Their accomplishments also include numerous TV shows, radio jingles, and thousands of live stage performances with such notable artists as Chubby Checker, The Beach Boys, and comedian Jerry Seinfeld, to name a few.
This evening's special holiday performance will feature such songs as the wonderfully Doo-Woppy "Let It Snow," a bluesy "Please Come Home for Christmas", a finger-snapping, Bing-imitating "White Christmas," some yummy falsetto on the Beach Boys' "Little St. Nick," a silly, manic "Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer," a very funny "Blue Christmas," a rhythmic, joyous "Feliz Navidad," a sweet baritone lead on "Sleigh Ride," the bluesy-jazz harmonies of "What Are You Doing New Year's Eve," and more!
This project is supported in part by grants from the Wisconsin Arts Board with funds from the State of Wisconsin and the National Endowment for the Arts, the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation and the Alliant Energy Foundation. Hospitality is generously provided the Heidel House Resort and Spa.
