THE LITTLE MERMAID performance this Saturday.
Audiences of all ages will get a fresh look at an age-old favorite this Saturday, June 27 at 3 p.m. and 7p.m. when the Missoula Children’s Theatre (MCT) and more than 50 local students present THE LITTLE MERMAID. The local cast will feature characters such as The Little Mermaid, Celia. Also featured are her three sisters, Delia, Amelia and Ophelia, Gil, the Merboy next door, and the Royal family including the Prince, the King and the Queen. The snoopy Seasiders will join them, and to complete the ensemble; the poetic Town Criers, the dynamic Scouts, and the galloping Seahorses. Mrs. Merman/Mr. Merman and Starfish will be played by a MCT Tour Actor/Director.
This wonderful opportunity for all local children could not be made possible without the help of some very special supporters who understand the importance of the arts in our children’s lives. This year’s MCT Summer Workshop program is supported in part by grants from the Wisconsin Arts Board with funds from the State of Wisconsin and the National Endowment for the Arts, the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation’s Herman Schultz Grant and TARGET. Additional sponsorship is generously provided by the Green Lake Bank, Wallenfang's of Green Lake, Green Lake Kiwanis Club and SCORPSRUS.
Last but not least, a special thank you to Heather McQuitty for offering weeklong accommodations for the two tour directors, Marilynn McGriff who will be providing the lively and lighthearted piano music that accompanies all Missoula performances and Thrasher volunteers who will be providing home-cooked meals every night of the week for the road-weary tour directors.
Tickets price for this special production are $12 adults and $8 children and can be purchased at Thrasher Office, Knowledge Emporium, & Green Lake Bank (Green Lake); Pick ‘n Save & Ripon Drug (Ripon); and Twister (Princeton), or call the office at 920-294-4279.
