Don Peachey Band returns for a lively evening of danceable music
The Don Peachey Band, one of Wisconsin’s longest performing polka bands, returns to the historic Thrasher Opera House, in beautiful downtown Green Lake, on Saturday, September 1 (Labor Day weekend) from 7:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. for a lively evening of polka, big band, waltz and foxtrot music.
Historically known as an "old folks dance," as described in a January 27, 1921 newspaper article regarding an upcoming event at Thrasher, in today’s world, we favor referring to this event as an "all folks dance." The music is fun and danceable – no matter your age! With ample room for kicking up your heels, we suggest you put on your dancing shoes and head over to Thrasher for some easy-to-dance-to and equally fun-to-listen-to music…..it’s truly 100% pure enjoyment.
Tickets for this event are only $8 each and can be purchased at the Thrasher Office, Knowledge Emporium, Green Lake State Bank, Ripon Drug, Pick ‘N Save, or at Twister (Princeton), or by calling 920-294-4279. You can also order online at www.thrashersoperahouse.com.
