Al Stewart, International Success, at Thrasher Opera House
Al Stewart’s work ranges from his first album in 1967 titled, “Bedsitter Images,” and subsequent early albums of his were known for their diary-like accounts of love affairs and intimacies. These early albums included now legendary musicians such as Jimmy Page, Rick Wakeman, Phil Collins, and Queen’s Roger Taylor. After switching gears in his songwriting approach to embody worldly issues, his album “Past, Present, and Future,” became a cult classic, selling over a million copies worldwide. This multi depth singer/songwriter has continued to make impacts on U.S. as well as international charts, and his live concerts are an opportunity to experience true folk music.
Dave Nachmanoff is also performing, and uses a participatory approach to entertaining audiences. Nachmanoff is a singer/songwriter with a Ph.D. in Philosophy and currently tours internationally as well as teaches workshops in songwriting across the country.
This concert is a double opportunity to hear two great artists, both incredibly talented singer/songwriters of acoustic folk music. The Al Stewart with Dave Nachmanoff concert takes place at Thrasher Opera House on Saturday, May 14 at 7:30 PM.
