"My work explores the relationship between Spirit, the natural world, and cyclical growth. From a young age, I have intuitively observed and felt others...this created a space for seeking a new understanding.” The artworks in this series, "An Invitation”, explore concepts of healing, balance and growth. During this process, that which often seemed complex became quite simple: patterns emerged and a new synthesis became clear. Alicia Thom Young’s newest works offer insights crafted from both opaque and transparent discourse. As temporal phenomena become transformed through spiritual and academic practice, the viewer is asked to find connections, patterns and insight into and with the natural world.
