The Thrasher Opera House exists to promote the arts, provide a community gathering place and preserve the historic Thrasher Opera House.

Save the Date!

Sept. 21, 2013 - "Stayin' Alive!"
Thrasher's annual gala FUNdraiser

Thrasher will bring back the 1970s disco era in this "Stayin' Alive" fundraiser, with music by the BeeGees and other great disco hits. Bee Gee-whiz! Auction, prizes, live band (Charlie's Thrashers, of course!), disco-era entertainment galore. Rockin' hors d'oeuvres and full cash bar. Disco threads and jive talkin' encouraged. Visit this page again from time to time, as more info is added.

The Thrasher gala is one of the most fun ways you can support the opera house. Your participation in this annual event is a way to celebrate the magic moments that the arts provide, a community gathering place in which to experience those moments together, and the beautiful historic building that proudly remembers the past while we move forward into the future.

Please contact Maria as soon as possible if you'd like your business to be a sponsor of the event, and/or if you'd like to donate something to the auction. Or maybe you'd like to lend your talents to the decorating committee as we attempt to turn our 1910 opera house into a disco club! Again, talk to Maria. She'll be delighted to hear from you!

Beatles music for 2012's British Invasion was performed by a fun band of area musicians including Steve Yeomans and Randy Zieth from Green Lake; Christine Reeves, Berlin; Tom Winkers, Markesan; and Mark & Melissa Edinger, Erik Dietrich, Maria Dietrich, Roger Gundlach, Riley Icenogle, Tim Lyke, Andy Schulz and Debbie Zambrowicz of Ripon.

In September 2011 we turned the clock back to 1963 and rode the wave to the Thrasher Opera House for good vibrations and fun, fun, fun.  Featured entertainment was this synchronized swimming routine by six local good sports: Mike Bierman, Jason Kauffeld, Scott Krause, Bill Munsey, Tracy Swayze and Todd Weir. Thanks to the swimmers and to their coach, Karla Spinks!

Thrasher's annual
Harvest of Bargains
September 28-29, 2013

Go green . . . with the greatest recycling event of the season!
Donate your new and lightly used items throughout the year, then come
back and buy somebody else's treasures. All proceeds benefit the
programs of the Thrasher Opera House.

Furniture, household goods, sporting goods, art, crafts, jewelry, and holiday decorations happily accepted. We even take sailboats! We are not equipped to accept clothing or any electronics for which there would be a fee to recycle if they are not sold.
